Photographs from a June 2026 trip on assignment to cover the Kofu - Des Moines Student Exchange. One of the most visible activities of the Sister City relationship between the two communities, two dozen students took part, spending a few days in Tokyo before living for a week with host families in Kofu, visiting local schools along with a number of sites to learn more about the history, culture and natural beauty of Japan.
